5th Grade Enrichment Week: 5 days of adventure tied to learning and stewardship
“The different activities from each day were generally tied together with our core virtue of Stewardship. Monday’s trip to our local wetlands, Wednesday’s stormwater runoff lab, and Friday’s trip to the Bow Lake transfer station were more obvious applications of stewarding waste created by consumerism. But Tuesday’s “Government Day” was a little more abstract: our explorations of the inner workings of the three branches of both federal and state governments called students to steward their citizenship for the life of the world (John 6:51). Thursday’s sail around Lake Washington with Sail Sandpoint was pure navigational fun.”
